Sumo Wrestlers Garden Sculpture

Here we have a rare superb piece of art work a pair of Sumo Wrestlers. The noble art of Sumo Wrestling, Japan’s national sport is steeped in tradition that stretches back thousands of years. Today Sumo has developed into an exclusive sport and is known all round the world. This unique piece shows the Sumo warriors clinching each other Mawashi! engaging in battle. The figurine has faded red and black paint from years of exterior living but this adds to its amazing patina and dramatic look. This is a very solid and heavy concrete piece of work and maybe a mould not a sculpture. Theres a stamp on the lower base but not sure what this can be. A beautiful intricately made piece that would be an amazing addition to any collection.
