Here we have a vintage collectors print 686/850 of the Three Castle Trail, This beautifully detailed vintage map entitled 'The Three Castle Path' was originally a water colour painted by William Thomas in which you will find his signature to the bottom. This route was inspired by the well documented 13th century journeys of King John between Windsor Castle and Winchester, via the midway point, a castle he built near Odiham. The print shows a yellow line mimicking a 60 mile walk through peaceful historic and beautiful countryside with hand coloured inset pictures which include some of the main landmarks and towns such as Egham, Ascot, Bracknell, Wokingham, Crowthorne, Basingstoke, onto the finishing point at Winchester. This fine map is encased in a matte olive green bevelled edge front card cover with a glass face surrounded in a black and gold frame finish. A beautiful vintage map print which would look lovely in any home or on display.
