For your consideration we have this stunning wooden 19th century antique coal scuttle. This vintage scuttle has been beautifully crafted in a Art Nouveau style with its main colour in black. It also features an amazingly hand painted egret to the lid, a floral theme to the sides, turned brass/wooden handle to the top, decorative brass hinges on the lid with a painted floral carved brass knob which is used to open the lid to reveal the storage compartment. With all the above the scuttle then sits on its four raised legs with a brass shovel holder fix to the rear. This item could be dating back to 1860s and would make a great addition to your fire place for storage.
Condition
This Scuttle box is in excellent condition for it's age. It still has an extremely solid structure, with some ageing cracks to its frame work as per picture.
Overall the this item is in fantastic shape and ready to add to both commercial and home interiors.
