A child’s Windsor high chair from Lincolnshire dating to the middle of the 19th century. This is an early 19th Century chair made from Elm and Ash it has a pierced central splat display in the traditional Windsor style, with a saddle carved seat and long splayed turned legs. The chair also features a wooden dropdown feeding try which sits on its beautifully caved armrest. An excellent and very rare chair, one for that dolls / bear collectors.
Condition
Construction is tight and solid, appears to be in excellent full working condition with no significant damage. Cosmetically, there is slight chipping to the framework but in vintage condition with signs of previous use, knocks, scrapes and scratches.
The chair stands in its natural patination and all joints are solid with no uneven wobbling.
Overall this period chair is in functional order and in fantastic in condition for it's age ready to add to both commercial display or home interiors.
