Here we have a very nice example of a “Monitor” No.26 blow lamp. At the time these blow torches were manufactured in Britain likely around the 1950s. The lamps were made from mixed metal with a main brass cylinder which is attached to their well crafted stylish handles. One of the lamps has been sensitively cleaned to make the most of it's natural patina and the other has been untouched to show it's attractive diminishing ageing colour. The lamps make and model branding is beautifully embossed to the front cylinder body, giving these classic items their iconic feel. These pair of lamps would be a welcoming addition to a collection or to decorate a masculine space such as a man or lady-cave. We couldn’t call ourselves a bona fide antiques/collectables seller unless we had at lease one of these in our collection.
