This rare Hornsea set has been coloured and fire glazed in midnight blue which is a rarity and was originally designed by the potter John Clappison for the Hornsea heirloom range. The "Midnight Blue" colour is a wonderful glossy cobalt that is accented by the matte glaze chain floral deep set dark grey rough pattern. A lovely retro set of crockery.
