For your viewing we have a beautiful Chinese hand-carved soapstone lion statuette. This piece is made in beautifully carved soapstone, criteria unknown most probably from the 1950s or 60s. The little sculpture was basically crafted showing off the subjects main attributes, such as its mane, tail, paws and even it's four canines. This little piece is captured in a strolling pose that sits itself on a basic slice of lacquered timber. This little piece is beautifully detailed with lovely colouring and a striking pose. Perfect for any collector of Eastern art iconography!
