Ici, nous avons une rare paire de sacs de livraison en cuir Westminster Bank. Ces sacs datent probablement de la fin de l'ère victorienne du 19e siècle au début du 20e siècle édouardien. Ces articles impressionnants ont l'original Westminster Limited en relief sur la face avant des sacs et sur le devant supérieur, vous trouverez une plaque d'écusson en laiton qui comporte un boîtier à double verrouillage et un boîtier à verrouillage unique sur le sac en cuir beige. Vous trouverez également le logo CHUBB LONDON gravé sur la face de la serrure avec son numéro de série au dos. Ces articles sont ancrés dans l'histoire et feraient une pièce de collection intéressante.
These bags where used to transfer the days takings to the bank and the Chubb 2 key detector lock was made to be almost impossible to pick and if tampered with, they would jam in the locked position.
Condition
The bags are unopened and I have no keys so I have no way of telling if the bags have any contents. Presumably the bank branch would keep the keys.
The only wear is some rubbing to the cosmetic leather covering to the the top and bottom with rust to the bear metal.The leather is exceptionally heavy and some of the stitching is loose to the bottom outside of the bags, but otherwise in excellent condition.
