Hemos tenido la suerte de encontrarnos recientemente con este par de sillas de los primeros maquinistas en sus guías originales. Estas primeras sillas industriales son icónicas en el uso de cartón vulcanizado para los asientos y respaldos. Un material resistente y práctico que se adaptó al duro entorno de la planta de producción. Sin tapicería de tela, se podían limpiar con un paño húmedo, bastante resistente al fuego, y con años de uso se amoldaban suavemente a una forma de base cómoda. Otras características clave son sus asientos giratorios que son ajustables en altura sobre una base roscada, parachoques de goma que se usan detrás del respaldo curvo para amortiguar la unión del respaldo al marco principal y permitir cierto movimiento. Finalmente, estas sillas flotan sobre sus corredores de línea de producción moldeados redondos, lo que nos parece un concepto muy raro. Una maravillosa adición industrial en el hogar o en un bar de restaurante o accesorios simples.

The machinists chair was born post First World War and was produced in such scale that it became a key part of factory furniture production.
Condition
These chairs are in general good condition. They have some wear consistent with used chairs of this age.
As with all vintage items, please expect some signs of wear consistent with the age of the piece.
Overall these chairs are in functional order and in fantastic condition for their age ready to add to both commercial displays or home interiors.
