Für Ihre Besichtigung haben wir dieses antike westafrikanische Stammes-Mandingo-Kurzschwert. Dieses aufwendige, verführerische Stück wurde um 1890-1900 geformt. Es hält eine dramatisch handgeschmiedete Klinge, die leicht gebogen und glänzend poliert ist, mit einem massiven Holzgriff, der mit rotbraunem Leder mit handbemalter Patina bedeckt ist. Die Klinge wird in einer wunderschön gearbeiteten Scheide gehalten, die vollständig mit rotbraun verziertem Leder bedeckt ist, wobei alle Näharbeiten noch intakt sind. Die Scheide ist mit runden Lederknöpfen und zwei langen verzierten Lederstücken versehen, die mit gemusterten Druckarbeiten überzogen sind, und eine einzelne große Quaste schwingt von der Mitte des Scheidengehäuses. Ein sehr attraktives und dekoratives handgefertigtes antikes, islamisches Stammesschwert aus dem Senegal oder dem Sudan.
Condition
It’s missing one of the large buttons and one of the leather pieces is torn off and separated.
The metal at the end of the scabbard is bent and the blade has some rust. There are other various areas of wear.
