Vintage Cotton Mill Bobbins Yoyo

Up for your viewing is this Antique Yoyo made from wooden Cotton Mill Bobbins, round 1860s. These particular Yoyo's feature a used forged metal outer case, a wooden circular main structure and an old wooden dowel with a copper ring to the centre holding the two identical sides together. A thin piece of string was added to the dowel to give it that Yoyo functionality. Generally these pieces were made of old unwanted bobbins or spools from textile mills and loom factories which would make this particular Yoyo a vintage piece from the Industrial Revolution. This piece exudes times gone by and would make a great collector's piece for that cabinet!
