For your consideration we have this mid-century Rattan Armchair Circa 1960s, Rattan Furniture was the must have piece of furniture between the early 60s to the late 70s and even through to the early 80s. This armchair was designed in the Netherlands by Dirk van Sliedregt a furniture designer, interior architect and teacher. He was the first to come up with the combination of rattan bamboo seating elements with a tubular steel lower framework. This innovatively design chair is a testament to his work and could easily still fit into any modern design project today. It truly withstands the testament of time and could fit straight intro that retro living space.
Condition
This loving little Rattan chair is in very good condition for its age, it shows signs of previous use with light surface marks but all in the right places. No major breaks to the bamboo or cracks to the metal frame-work.
It stands nobly upright and straight on its own and overall the chair is in fantastic condition for it's age, ready to add to any home interior project.
