We offer to you a beautiful original 1930s Herbert Terry & sons Anglepoise 1227 desk lamp. With its super iconic industrial design the lamp is finished in a deep Black enamel from the base to it's tulip pendant shade. The lamp's main structure sits on a raised heavy weighted two step base with the original wiring and push button switch to the top of the shade. A key feature of these iconic design and patent is the placement of the lamps springs in this case, a cricket stump configuration, three spring across the base structure. There's no cream nylon spacers (as seen on the model 90) and shade fixing bracket mark this as the super iconic version designed in the 1930's by George Carwardine and manufactured by Herbert Terry & Sons, Redditch, England between the late 1930's until the 1960's the ultimate classic 1227 adjustable desk lamp, a beautiful piece of engineering, and a joy to use.
Condition
This piece is in vintage condition with signs of previous use, knocks, scrapes and scratches with light surface paint loss and slight rusting to its springs which only enhance this lamps vintage appeal.
Overall this this iconic lamp is in full functional order and in fantastic condition ready to add to any commercial display or home interiors layout.
